If I Am Taking Medications, How Often Will We Meet?If medications are newly prescribed or changed, we will conduct a follow-up visit every two weeks to get your medication stabilized. This is necessary to ensure proper administration and minimize any side effects you may experience. If your symptoms improve, follow-up intervals can be spaced out to a monthly interval. For clients on maintenance therapy, follow-up visits can be held at three-month intervals. We may discuss an alternate treatment structure depending on your circumstances.
-
How Long Should I Expect to Need Treatment?Treatment length varies between individuals and diagnoses. Treatment for depression and anxiety can range from nine months through several years or longer. This will depend on the type and severity. Some conditions, such as ADHD, bipolar disorder, or schizophrenia, tend to require life-long treatment, though this may vary depending on symptoms and lifestyle factors. Treatment length is always individualized for each client and will be determined based on your needs in conjunction with your provider's assessment.
